Workforce Day of Action
On March 24, across the U.S., representatives from business, labor, education and training programs, and the public sector took part in a national Workforce Day of Action to respond to proposed cuts to workforce funding. Organized by National Skills Coalition and over twenty other national groups, the Workforce Day of Action was a coordinated effort to urge Congress not to eliminate funding for workforce programs, which play a vital role in the nation’s economic recovery and state’s job creation efforts.
